Commit to Pray

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

This isn't our first rodeo with international adoption. Most of you know it took 4 years, 2 months, and 19 days to bring our daughter home from Ethiopia in December 2017. That journey was tumultuous - we faced significant adversity in the process, but the Lord provided for us through the prayers of His people.

So, we are once again asking you to join us in prayer. This is the single most important way you can support us. Thank you for praying to the only True God who sees, hears, and knows all that we need.

**Please know you can pray for us more than one day a week, and even 7 days a week if you like! Our hope is simply to be covered in prayer everyday throughout our journey.**

  1. Joseph and Laura, I will commit to Wednesday for prayer for you. I am, of course, lifting you up always, but Wednesdays will be a 'time set aside for Patience' for the Thigpens.

  5. Dear Lord, thank you so much for knowing what's best for us even when we don't have that understanding. Today I pray you will provide patience and understanding to Joseph & Laura. May they know that You will be faithful and help them finish what they've started.....that when they finally have sweet baby Thigpen they will praise you, Lord, and know it was worth the wait. May Joseph & Laura feel Your loving presence more than ever today to overcome any anxious feelings they may be having. And I thank you, Father, that we are able to know how You love us through Your Son, Jesus. May we always display that love for each other. Amen.
