Adoption Update
After completing our homestudy, we began preparing and completing paperwork to send to the country, aka, our dossier.
Well, we've completed all of the steps to prepare the documents and have officially mailed them off!!! It may not sound like much, but it really is a huge step closer to bringing our little one home.
We've gone through a series of background checks, fingerprints, obtaining reference letters, employment verification letters, medicals, and several other documents necessary to become a "waiting family" and compiled them into multiple folders to send to our placing agency; so we really are beyond excited to get it mailed!
What Happens Next?
Now, we wait for our dossier to be authenticated. Once it's completely authenticated, it will be sent to Ethiopia and we will begin the official waiting process.
We had several friends tell us when we began this journey that there would be a lot of "hurry up and wait," and so far that's been true. ;) But now, we're really ready to be in the "just waiting" phase.
How You Can Pray
Time is of the essence. You can pray that things will go quickly and smoothly for finalizing our paperwork and getting it sent to the country. You can also ask the Lord to grant us the measure of patience we need to be a "waiting family."One step closer - thank you for all of your prayers and support!
